It's a cinch to install - no tools required! Even a 5 year old can install it! Get yours and get going!

Installation couldn't be easier than this. Just 4 nylon tie wraps and you are off to the races.

RPM-BIKE (Radical Pedal Motor) works by RPM's compliant "motor" element tapping the spokes of your wheel at speed. The faster you pedal, the louder it gets. Your friends will think you have put an engine on your bicycle!

Designed to fit most bicycles from 16" up 20 26" wheel sizes and will fit bicycles with gears.

Lets Start:

Using the four (4) nylon tie wraps supplied in your kit, locate the first two tabs on back of RPM (see image 1) . Slide nylon tie wraps through these openings and secure loosely around the left hand bottom portion of your bicycle frame so it will hang in place while you orient the accessory to fit to the rest of your bicycle frame (see image 2).

Next, slide your RPM as far back as your frame configuration will allow (if your bike has trick pegs on the rear, they may impede the RPM-BIKE unit from being able to clear the pedal crank - remove trick pegs if this is the case)

Now, line up the upper part of your bicycle frame with any one of the seven mounting points located on the back side of the RPM. Use the ones that best fit your bicycle frame configuration. Again, slide nylon tie wraps through openings and around your bicycle's frame member. Now, pull tightly ALL FOUR nylon tie wraps until the RPM is very securely fastened to the bicycle frame.

Located on the back side of your RPM is the "motor" mount receiver cavity. It has three (3) distinct engagement position options. Use the one that allows for the "motor" component to touch the spokes making full flat contact (see image 4). Do not install in a manner that allows the spokes to impact the "motor" on edge or it will severely affect your RPM's longevity, durability and tonal quality (see image 5).

Once the appropriate position has been determined, push the "motor" all the way in until you hear definite "snap" ensuring it's proper engagement.

Note: MOMS and DADS!! For longer life of your RPM-BIKE Motor component AND to make it more quiet, it is recommended that you trim the tongue of the "motor" unit so that it overhangs or engages with the contacting spokes by an amount of not less than 1/4" and no greater than 3/8" of an inch. (see image 6) Making this modification is necessary for best performance of your RPM Unit. For best tonal quality it is recommended that you check your spoke tension and tighten all loose spokes before using your RPM unit. Trim unit only after you have completely installed your RPM first!!

Lastly, select your favorite number(s) and apply them to the white number plate.

GO RACING!

***Before installing RPM unit, make sure your spokes have been tightened and your wheel is running true and straight. Baskets, trick pegs and other accessories may conflict with RPM unit and should be removed before installation of RPM unit. Should your "motor" wearout after many many hours of riding, you may order replacement units here.
